As the first capitol of New York State, the Stockade District of Kingston is American history: stone houses, bluestone walkways, the original New York Senate House, with accompanying stockade for scofflaws and a waterfront reflecting the vibrancy of the city’s port heritage. It was here that Governor George Clinton was inaugurated and is buried in the city’s Old Dutch churchyard. Old merges with new to create a truly interesting and hip destination.
Experience all that Kingston has to offer with great shopping, ranging from antiques to art galleries to fashion boutique. Grab a bite at one of the farm-to-table restaurants along the waterfront. Enjoy Kingston’s Renaissance at city-wide art receptions held by the Arts Society of Kingston every first Saturday of the month in the city named by Business Week one of the nation’s “Top 10 Art Towns.” Join staff from the City of Kingston's Forsyth Nature Center while kayaking on the Rondout Creek or the Hudson River to explore the wildlife and history of Kingston's great waterways.
The Starlite Motel is a 1960’s motor lodge located at the foot of the Catskills in the Hudson Valley. A short distance from Minnewaska State Park and some of the most exciting hiking, skiing, biking and climbing around. Recently renovated with an emphasis on comfort and convenience.
Situated in the historic enclave of Uptown Kingston, NY, between the foothills of the Catskill Mountains and the banks of the Hudson River, Hotel Kinsley is the perfect retreat for design-loving travelers looking for a little relaxation and adventure. 40 unique guest rooms are nestled throughout the property, housed in a 12-room farmhouse as well as 28 cabins. Inspired by the local colonial farmhouses the hotel will act as a central base for hotel guests – with a communal lobby bar, library room, game room and screened in porch with views of the sunset.

A creative, seasonal breakfast, a "must do" according to vogue.com, is prepared daily by our chef/innkeeper and served on the porch, in the courtyard garden or by the fire.

Located at the corner of Wall & John Streets, Restaurant Kinsley is a modern oasis that captures the vibrant energy of Kingston–where fostering a sense of community between locals and hotel guests alike is at the heart of everything we do.
Born of a deep appreciation of both the city and the greater Hudson Valley, Restaurant Kinsley is the mutual passion of restaurateur Taavo Somer (Freeman’s), developer Charles Blaichman and Chef Zak Pelaccio (Fish & Game, Back Bar).
Chef Pelaccio developed a locally sourced menu of New American classics that changes seasonally. See our current menu below.

The Beverly consists of the Beverly Bar, featuring a 100 year old “Cassidy Bar” with its original clock and refrigeration. Additionally, The Beverly Ballroom located in the back of the establishment, is an elegant event space, that hosts a plethora of events. The Beverly Lounge serves classic cocktails and eclectic pub fair in an updated, but still “Kozy” setting, giving a respectful nod to its past and to the city and neighborhood which have given home to this historic public house, through the decades.
